Default Side scanning chartplotters.

Considering a new boat need a 7 or 8" HD side scanning chartplotter. Don't care much for networking. I have to screw around with networking at home and work all the time.

who else?

how you like em?

help wanted..

I bought the humminbird 980 this year. Could resist all the cool picts, plus i needed a new unit. I would never own a Lowrance again based on personal experience.

Haven't fully leverage the side-scanning, but it's cool. THe normal fishfinder mode is excellent and the GPS is really good. Very happy so far. Just need to find more interesting crap on the bottom aside from a sunken row boat

I have an older H-bird 797 with the latest software. I fish shallow reefs in the Northeast for Tautog and I could not be happier with the unit.
