I had to send my tach/ hour meter back to Faria. It is covered under warranty so I am not worried about that.

My question is? Can I run my boat w/out the tach in it? I am not planning any big trips however I am itching to get back on the water. I have a speedo that works great. Have checked it w/ GPS and is real close.
Is there any chance of doing damage w/ out the tach. And no I do not plan any wide open runs w/out the full gauges.

Thanks

hard to imagine what harm you could do running without a tach

You don't even have to worry about running WOT without the tach. Your propeller is a built-in "rev limiter", so you can't really damage the engine by overrevving it unless you did it in neutral. Go use your boat.
