Default Navnet Sounder Question

My newly acquired boat has a Navnet system (MU-155C) with a ETR-6/10N network sounder. The quality of the picture and detail is quite a bit less than the 585 I had on my previous boat. I was curious if conversion to a digital DFF-1 network sounder would improve it? Also, would I need to replace the existing 1kw transducer ( circa 2005) with the installation of the DFF-1? Or is the signal from the older transducer still functional with the digital sounder? Thanks

Same transducer is fine just need to remove old unt and fit DFF1 and you may also need to replace network cable if Navnet BB is directly connected to ETR6/10 as ETR6/10 uses 6 pin to 6 pin dff1 uses 6 pin to RJ45. If you have a HUB normal straight Ethernet cable should work fine

And the answer is yes to the question about the picture, the 585 is digital.
