Default raymarine sirius

I just installed Raymarine c90W, raymarine sr100 sirius. Got the sirius weather to work and cant get the sirius radio to work!!! 5 hours on phone with sirius, raymarine, even jensen for the stereo. The Display only shows 3 channels, 184, 209, and 0. i have had it with sirius. every time i call it gets worse. When i called raymarine they had me do some diagnostic tests and they say everything is fine on their end! oh well another couple hours on phone tomorrow. Any suggestions, besides just bailing on the whole thing????

When you say "display" are you talking the C90W display or Jensen? I'm pretty sure you can only use the aux in to a Jensen (or Sony, Kenwood) to pump Sirius through your speakers. The Jensen can't "tune" the SR100. You must tune to the channels from the C-Series.

Its a different signal for radio compared to weather give it some time to download. I'm assuming u r putting the signal from the raymarine to the stereo? The only way to access the satellite radio is to always have the raymarine on.

When the Raymarine display is on, hit menu and you should see the Sirius menu. I f you do not make sure the light is on the 100 unit. If it is, rebbot the Raymarine and it should show up.

Capt Lou,

As others have said, it will take some time for your Sirius Radio to come online. When you registered your SR100 with Sirius, you did give them your TWO unit ID's, right? One for the weather receiver, the other for the audio.

Do you have a good, clear view of the sky? I'm uncertain if the audio and weather signals come from the same or different satellites.

On the C you can set your presets once you have everything going. You will ONLY be able to tune the audio from the C.

Guys thanks! I was talking about the c90, I am running it through the Jensen on aux. I have given Sirius both numbers. I can't get sound out of Sirius channel 184 when it's tuned in the display, so this red flags the Sirius people that it is a raymarine or a Jensen issue! That's where it gets frustrating. I am going to move boat to see if I am getting blocked from signal today. The sr100 unit is blinking green like it should and I have checked 20 times and everything is hooked up correctly

Something tells me the radio hasnt downloaded itself all the way if youre only displaying 3 channels unless theres some new basic package that you only get that many.

Im assuming you have the aux cable that goes from the Raymarine to the input side of the Jensen? Verify that its int he in and not out. My buddy was helping me install and amp and put the in in the out and it took me a while to figure out why i didnt get sound. If after today you dont get sound call sirius i have had mine go offline and they resend the signal. Its like a modem they have to ping it to tell it to look for the signal and then once it has the connection it doesnt look anymore so when it goes offline it doesnt recognize it needs to find it again.

I would try to test that the aux is working with maybe another source. Ipod or something. Even if you are not seeing all sirius stations the ones you mentioned should have some audio on them. Usually asking you to sign up or something.
I would leave both SR100 and C90 on for several minutes then cycle the power on the C90 and go to menu as mentioned. Sometimes the sirius takes a while to update.
One thing I discovered is that once everything is working you can turn off the display (C80 in my case) and the sirius will continue to play through the radio on the station you were listening to. This is great for when cleaning and boat or hanging out at the sandbar.
Good Luck.

I had a similar problem with my head unit only displaying 3 stations. It was a head unit/Sirius problem. After I unplugged the sirius box from the head unit and let it "reset" I had the signal resent and all was good.

Try unpluggig the antenna and then plugging it in again. Also, Go to the sirius radio screen and when you see the 3 channels, hit browse or move the cursor up. I thought that my receiver was not getting the channels but what happened was that the only ones that showed were the 3 that you have until I tried browsing up. It worked for me.

CAPT Lou, another thing you can do is remove power from the SR100, give it a standing eight count, and put power back on. Any updates?
