Default Sea Ranger LCN 100 Loran Power cable

The power cable to my LCN 100 has shorted out where the cable goes into the power connector. Does anyone know where I can get a new power cable and connector?

you can uscrew the connector to get at the shielded cable and the center pin. It can be resoldered-do you have an instruction manual? It would give the details on how to resolder the pin in the BNC connector-not a hard job-

good luck

sorry "59" I miss read you Q, I thought it was the antennae, Sea Ranger is out of business a long time, you will have to get creative, cut open the plug and solder the wires to the female connectors and then epoxy the plug back together.
This might do it. Make sure the key slot lines up and fits into the socket again and the ring lock secures the plug again.
hope this helps

While in college, I worked at E&B, which sold the SeaRanger line as their house label electronics. The lorans were made by Ross Engineering, who has since been gobbled up by L3 Communications. so I don't know if they are supporting the old lorans, but never fear, there is a work around. The SeaRanger also used the same 2 pin powercord that the most Raytheon and Apelco lorans and fishfinders in the early 1990's. RayMarine doesn't sell it anymore, but an outfit called Gem Electronics does (843-394-3565) list it in their catalog under #M99001-31. Worst case scenario, they can sell you the con-x-all connetor and you can make one outright.

Sorry, I've been on vacation and not paying attention. I don't know L3's address, but I think Ross's old headquarters is still their main office for all things that were Ross, they were at 12505 Starkey rd suite E, Largo FL 33773 (727) 536-1226.
