Default how hard is installing a Yamaha fuel flow scan meter

I'm tenacious but not very handy. I can drill a hole, thread a wire, crimp, etc...but not sure about installing the gauge to the fuel hose (I don't have it yet but wanted to figure out if I could do it).

Have you installed one yourself? How hard is it and how long does it take? Any thing else I should know about.

Thanks a lot. This forum is really helpful.

I just installed one on my boat a couple of weeks ago. Not very difficult. The hardest part is fishing the harness from the dash to the stern. Just make sure you have all the fittings and clamps you need before you start. It was a real pain having everything ready to hook up and not having all the fittings. I found it easier to hook up all the fuel lines to the sensor first then bolt it to the transom. I used a little more fuel line then I needed to but, fuel line is cheaper then bloody nuckles. Just follow the instructions they provide and you should be fine.

Do you have Command-Link Gauges with the combination Speedo/Fuel Management gauge?
