Default garmin 740 and 4212

im looking to add a secondary screen to display gauges for my yamaha f350. i currently have a 4212 plotter with command link tach and speed/fuel gauges. i have limited room, and the new 740 appears to be the biggest screen i can fit. will it network with the 4212 and the f350 all together? it would serve very little time as a plotter/sounder, but it would be nice to have as a backup.

It will serve as a great gauge display. It will not use the Garmin network, it will use the nmea2000 network. So you will not be able to pull your radar or FF up on the 740. It will act as a standalone Chartplotter and display anything on the nmea2000 network like engine data. It will also give you some redundancy since you can plug your radar into it if your 4212 ever craps out. We do have 740 units in stock.
