Default HD Radar Dual Range

Anyone know if/when Raymarine will allow dual radar ranging to operate within a seperate display window (radar only) from the chart plot radar overlay display with the E series and HD radars. I have an E120 MFD and HD424HD radar. BTW my E120 came with the boat purchased 3/2008 and the RD424HD was purchased from Jim at BOE 12/09.

I have pinged Raymarine on this too.

Mike;
Your HD dome (HD and Super HD are supported) will display dual range- but only on the new C and E wide series, not the Classics.

Dual radar ranging for HD domes will be supported in the next software release for E Classic according to the Norwegian distributor.

I've installed RD418HD today

Cool... I figured they "could" do it with a firmware update, but wouldn't so that we'd have to "upgrade"

Mike- I forgot to mention that there's an easy way to nearly double your forward range with the radar...
I sometimes "split screen" the radar- then take one side and use a 2/3 vessel offset. So while both sides are technically on the 1-1/2 mile range (as an example), the side with the 2/3 vessel offset is displaying a forward view of nearly three miles. It's "sorta-kinda" like dual range
