Default Hooking up Flouro T-top U light

Just a quick installation question. What is the prefered way to hook up a flouro t-top light? negative wire to negative bus and then the positive wire directly to the 2 way switch and a positive wire from the 2 way switch to the positive bus terminal? or vice versa.

Make sure theres some type of fuseable link between the switch and the power source.JMO

Actually a question about electrical installs in general...

Shouldn't the switch be on the negative leg of the circuit?...Fused of course!

I put the switch and the fuse on the hot side (red). If you interupt the neg. side (black), with a switch, you still end up with a hot wire on the red.
