I installed a ds500x 3 weeks ago & have been extremely happy with it. I especially like the auto tune feature & use split screen display most of the time. I fish in water from 10' - 1000'. It's truely a great investement. U can actually c single fish around bait pods. I have mine connected to a Lowrance 16cxi GPS so I can use the NEMA input. That way I can c my NAV data on my fishfinder.
Terrific product. BWP

The water around our way is about 100m max (about 300 - 400ft)

The specs are pretty good on Raymarine as well

cheers

I fish out of Hatteras Inlet ....... I have a transom mounted transducer on my Bostom Whaler & have used it in water as deep as 957'. I've played around with quit a bit using manual control -vs- the programed auto & found that I prefer the split screen auto 50/200hz set up. It's more than met my expectation ...... BL ..... impressive features with a crisp daylight viewable display. I had to come back thru a big thunderstorm last week & I can say without a doubt, "It's waterproof!" Cheers ....... Tom

Davros

I recently purchased a ds600x from Bias Boating in Claremont and despite having the first unit replaced due to slight fogging have been extremely impressed with power and functionality.

The clarity and definition of fish and structure blows you away. The finder is also easy to use although I would have preferred a bit more capacity for manual adjustments of such as gain.

At this stage I am still learning having only used the finder 3 times up to 45m depth however its well worth a look.
