Default VHF DSC OUTPUT connected to a Raymarine Chartplotter?

Has anyone connected their VHF's DSC location stuff (a NMEA output) to a Raymarine chartplotters input?

Did it work? Do you get a waypoint at the other vessels location after doing a DSC location request...?

Well, the reason I ask, is becuase at the NYC boat show, I spoke with Raymarine, one guys said there chartplotters do listen to the DSC sentences, another rep said they don't. This morning I called tech support, and the rep said they did.

So we have 2 yes's, and 1 no.

But JT, either way, you want the equipment to be ready for it. Because even if it deosn't work today, I'm sure it WILL work tomorrow (reletively speaking..). It's a simple addition to the software so it's no big deal.

Anywho, this is one of those things that will be really cool to try and play with, but will have almost NO real use.
