Default Shoot thru the hull

Can't seem to get a good reading with my transom mount. Anyone know if a shoot thru the hull type will work on a Key West 2220? If so where would the best location be to mount it.
Thanks, Kyle

Should work fine, I don't believe the the Key West is a cored hull. But I may be wrong there.

At any rate, find a place in your bilge that will have clean water flowing across it at all times. Generaly 1'-2' forward of the transom along the centerline is a good place to start.

I have a shoot thru on my Parker 21SE. It's located in the bilge compartment. I run a Garmin 188C. There is a max hull thickness that it will shoot thru effectively. Called Parker and they give me the hull thickness at that location which was OK.

If you already have the transom mount that would work fine. But Airmar makes one with the mineral oil bath specific for shoot through.

Try yours first, not gonna cost you anything. If you don't like the performance you can always go up from there.
