Default Furuno 600L - Help

I just got this unit and it is my first color sounder. Does anyone know of a video thats gives a better description on how to read it? The manual is pretty basic and I was hoping to speed up my learning curve on the water. I love the way the manual identifies the A-scope function - Allows you to identify species. - Okay, HOW?

Default Furuno 600L - Help

There is a company, I think its called Bennet, that makes videos for most of the major electronics. I think West Marine sells them, but an on-line search should find them pretty easily. I"m hoping someone will confirm or correct (more likely) that name, might be Bennet, might not, 50/50 chance .....

Thank you for that link. Just placed my order. I'll try to post a review after I receive it.

One thing that is not covered real good is the "shift key".
The 600L has a feature that is not in the manual, it will detect fish better. When bottom fishing set the range scale to match the relief size, 5' relief 10' scale, 10' relief 20 scale, etc. Got my first three scales set to 10, 20 ,30. Now use your shift key to shift down until you see the bottom. Now the machine is looking at only the bottom on the whole screen, not a split screen. What a difference this makes. Hope this helps.

Got the video today. Took about 10 minutes to view it. It seemed like someone was just reading the manual to me. For someone who has never seen a FF before I guess it could help. Didn't do anything to help interpret colors or how to identify species with A-scope. Of well I guess I just have to learn on the water. Which of course is not necessarily a bad thing.

Anyway it was worth a try and I thank you for your help.
