Minor enhancements plus one that allows use of a blank C-map data chip to save your waypoints to. Costs $500 for software & hardware upgrade needed to do that. If you are looking to buy, get the Plus with the HSB2. Also the new models just coming out have a display that Ray claims can be seen in daylight (they claimed that for the older ones - wrong unless daylight means just before sunrise. Otherwise needs to be shaded.

Raymarine hsb2 as Ahab mentioned, allows you to share data on two Raymarine screens...like GPS plotting on either a Radar/plotter unit or Fishfinder/plotter unit...
Don't think you need the Plus if you're only going to install a single product.

I had the original L760 and it was able to connect to one other screen which could be a radar or another sounder or plotter no problem. I think the difference between the plus and the regular is with the plus you can connect more than 2 together because the plus is "HSB2" rather than "HSB". Another difference is that the plus can do radar overlay on the plotter. Lastly When I bought mine the original screen had the annoying quality of fogging up unless it was in direct sunlight for a while. Raymarine had a fix for the screen which I sent it in for and while they were doing that I had the Plus/HSB2 upgrade. Actually the upgrade is software only which would only allow Radar overlay but not increased connectivity. Instead I opted to trade my units for rebuilt ones which also had the hardware upgrade. If you buy a regular L760 it would no doubt have the foggy screen.

Hope This Helps,

also note that it has to be a rc760+ to be a chart plotter and fishfinder.
