Default differences between Garmin 3210 vs 4210 ?

need to get XM weather and a larger display. Currently have Garmin 498, is the 4210 worth the extra dollars???;?

updated technology; three network ports as opposed to one; nmea 2000 capable. you have to make your own decision. the 3210 is considered discontinued.

have owned both - there is nothing a 3210 won't do that a 4210 series will do - it just does it a little nicer....but a nice upgrade...

I have a 3210 and a 4212. They do the same basic things, but the resolution is better on the 4212, and the 4212 accepts the vision g2 chip; I don't think the 3210 will.

Also, the screens seem somewhat more intuitive on the 4212.

I probably should have gotten a 4210 instead of the 3210, but it's perfect for what I want it for - as a second display to dedicate to radar while running or sonar while fishing. I hate splitting screens.
