$499 is probably just for the St-6001 disaplay WITHOUT the S1G AutoPilot uint.

I purchased mine from Consumers marine at the NYC boat show for something like $1500 including everything. I've only been using the unit for 2 weeks now, but it is working GREAT so far. Love it.

what are you mounting it on? I put mine on twin merc opti's, and had to make a custom bracket to mount the encapsulated rotary RRU.

Do not use the linear feedback rod unless its inside an engine box safe from the elements. My brand new one had water in it within a week.

Thank you everyone, and thanks Jim, yes that sounds like a good price, I will get in touch with you.

One final question, does the ST6001 display have a gimbal mount, my son doesn't have the dash space for flush mounting.

Inboard boat, twin Yanmar diesels.
