Default Furuno GP 1850 wdf/nt combo unit

Hello all, looking for a quality combo GPS / Fishfinder unit. Leaning to Furuno's GP 1850 wdf/nt unit. Found some listed for under $1200 bucks. Will mount it on a 23' cc with a small console area.

Anybody have and or use this unit? Give me the skinny - Please and Thank you

Steve

I have used one for three years. It is a one of the nicest combos out there. If you have the room I would buy a separate unit. It is nice to see a large screen when fishing and nav. If you do not have alot room the 1850 is it.
Good luck,
Roger

Steve,

Everyone has their favorites... and mine would be Furuno if you were looking at radar or sounders, but for chartplotters, nobody can beat the Garmin displays and Bluechart maps for clarity and detail. If you're looking for a combo chartplotter/sounder, I'd suggest looking at Garmin first.

Better yet, go to a storefront that has them on display side-by-side and compare the Garmin displays and charts to the Furuno. You will see the difference right away.

I have one. I think it is a good buy as it is a great finder and a decent chart plotter.

For $1,200 i would jump on it! The 582 finder runs at that price!

Price seems low though, last i looked the 1650WF was running at $1,200 and 1850WF at $1,600.

That price is probably just for 1850W .... no FF?

Hi Steve - did you ultimately buy the Furuno 1850 wdf/nt unit? If so, what did you finally pay for it? I just got a quote of $1,800 (before installation) for one. Was your's really $1,200? How do you like the unit?
