Default Scout 280 Electronics

I am picking up my new Scout 28 Center Console on Friday and have decided on a Garmin 2006C with GSD 20, Thru hull transducer, Icom 502 with Digital antennae and will add a radar later. I cannot fit a 2010 in the flush mount spot nor can I can I fit one of the bigger screen Raymarine or Furuno all in one units. I am wondering on the depth finder ability of the Garmin as I had a Furuno 600L on my last boat and it was great. Appreciate all input.
Thanks

I'm not familiar with that console, but I find it amazing that a 28' boat didn't have enough console space to mount a 2010. I had the Triton factory remove the glove box on the console of my 2486 CC and now am able to mount a 2010C, 2 Yamaha multi-function gauges, and a Furuno 600L across the space available. Can you make a custom mounting space from Starboard? Before you settle on the smaller display of the 2006, get some of the other Scout drivers time to give you ideas that they have used.......also, you may want to contact the factory directly. The folks at Triton were very helpful to me on questions like this.

Good luck......I know you will find some options.

I would check out the Raymarine c80 I just installed on on my scout abaco and have the full system. I was concerned the c 120 would not fit so I went with the c 80. For me it has turned out great as the screen size is more than enough. Dont let the screen size fool you. Because you can overlay Radar on chart the split screen really provides what would normally require a three way split.. The system has far exceeded my expectations. The Radar chart overlay works well even without the expensive gyro compass, and the fishfinder is outstanding. I dont loose bootom at a fast cruise and of course at slow speeds the detail is awesome. I cant say enough about this system.. and I have had no problems as others have mentioned yet..
