Default uploading waypoints from pc to furuno gps32

got a new gps32 from three rivers marine and would like to catalog my numbers and add some new ones to a pc file format and then upload them to the new furuno unit.

is/are there programs that I can buy to make this easy?
it appears that I will have to buy a 9 pin connector to make the connection from the pc to gps unit...I can handle that.
I am familiar with pc's.

Having said that can someone tell me exactly how to do it...

Thanks for your help.

Default RE: uploading waypoints from pc to furuno gps32

The following supports the GPS32/37

http://www.gpsu.co.uk/

and the following should also support the 32/37 as it was originally designed for the 30/35 and 31/36 models.

On a DB-9 serial connector Pin2 should be connected to the Data Out line of the GPS, Pin 3 to the Data In line and Pin5 is ground/common.

Without knowing the exact cable arrangements for the GP32 the following is based on what Furuno has generally used for their NMEA cables.

GP32 TXD-H (White) to Pin2
GP32 TXD-C (Black) to Pin5
GP32 RXD-H (Yellow) to Pin 3
GP32 RXD-C (Green) to Pin5

Cheers, Kerry.
