I'm shopping for an autopilot for a 36ft center console w/twin OB

How hard would it be to autopilot a 26 foot flat bottom jet-sled using a 8hp yamaha for power in a following sea?, or gusty wind? and hold the boat dead straight, We are the only company in the world that can do it, and have been for 11 years.

Do you see a disconnect between the need and the claim?

Sea dad, you and others seem to think that the TR-1 claims are all hype. I do think the folks from TR-1 have come across a little pushy about the product but at the same token I like the fact that they are excited about the product and the company they represent.

I have the TR-1 purchased and will be installing it in the next few weeks. After installed and configured I would like to invite you (I beleive you are in Orlando?) on a fishing trip and we will put the unit to the test. I could even meet you in PC and we could make a run at the Yellowfin. That way you could provide a very unbiased opinion about the AP...GOOD or BAD. Are you interested in doing a equipment review??

No Buck none of us think their claims are all hype, we fully believe their claims. We are simply tired of them pushing the product on us. They refuse to play by the forum rules, so they get no respect.

Let me just add, any trip for tuna is a trip to make. see if eastcoasttrailers wants to go as well, he's here in orlando too and just put a raymarine 6001 on his boat as well. You can get 2 opinions for the price of one. No problem on chipping in on the fuel and expenses either.

you guy's thats all it is is I am excited( extreamly) If you are happy with what you have that is all that matters, It is nice to be with a company(TR-1) for 8 years and still feel like the first day I started. Heck we all like to argue sometimes we are human. If I have sounded like a sales puke, I appologize for I am not.

Fish on!

Thanks,

Pete

pete,

I may have fired of too quickly. I am still a bit gun shy from the advertising campaign, sorry for any discomfort.
