Thanks guys . . . with the powerful rays it will be emitting I will have to make sure that it is well over everyone's head so they don't get their brains cooked but that is an easy problem to address

I got an e-mail and she said "Auguste . . . not only will you see birds . . . you will be able to count the feathers "

Hey.....glad to see you made the best decision. Congratulations.

Are you having it installed there? If so make sure to speak with Ronald at Outer Banks Marine Maintenance in Wanchese. He is an artist when it comes to welding. Actually, if you leave the boat there for a couple of days they can mount it, wire it up and tune it for you.

One word of advice for you. If you get Marine Electronics of the Outer Banks involved make damn sure they set a firm date and time to work on your boat. Then you better be there with a cell phone to call them when they are not there when they are supposed to be. Otherwise you'll never, ever get it wired up. I can tell you that from experience.

What I was trying to get across in a somewhat confusing fashion I guess was that a 12 Kw. unit is something you might find on a large vessel which might frequent distant off shore grounds like the Flemish Cap...........The "enjoy" part meant NICE CHOICE!! (and I'm jealous).....enjoy!!

Auguste... That is one sweet radar unit. I have my eye on a Furuno 1933 for my Parker (next year). but I've gotta have that second (rear) station installed first. Right Bruce?

In the movie (and in real life) "Perfect Storm" ,didn't the crew of the Andrea Gail head toward the Flemish Cap in search of Swordfish in their last voyage? It was sort of the Holy Grail and far out as hell for swordfish.
