Hi all,
Over the winter I did a lot of research on the "best of breed electronics" for my new Triton 2895 center console. I came up with the following list and would be open to any feedback before I purchase next weekend. Thanks.
Garmin 2010c with G20 Sounder.
Raytheon SL 70C Radar w/24nm Raydome.
Raytheon 315F VHF w/8ft Digital Inc. Antenna.
Simrad AP11 Auto Pilot.

Congrats on the new boat.
You have a nice list of electronics, however
if you have the $$, go for a northstar. I got
one last year and they are incredible. Go to
Consumers Marine, they have the best prices
for electronics. Congratulations again.

You should research Furuno for your sounder and Icom for the radio. Lots to choose from but from most posts I have seen these items came up the most.

You might want to investigate getting a Furuno 1723C or 1823C NavNet radar and the BBFF1 sounder module instead of the GSD. That gets you a much better fishfinder that doesn't share the screen with your primary plotter. I think Furuno's customer support is much better than Raymarine. In fact, I would worry that Raymarine might not be long for this world due to financial problems since the spin-off.
Do a search on Northstar, there was a long thread on this.

The new digital bottom machine from raymrine is awesome from reports and what I've seen. i cant wait to get a new boat and install one. From past expirence, the garmin 2010 is the best mapping GPS out there. Dead on accurate and VERY easy to use. Has duel chart prots and the screens scrolls seamlessly. Huge screen and very easy to read while running WOT.Icom radio is the right choice and someone said already... go with the digital antenea(SP).
