It does not include the LCX chartplotter display - I am not sure, but I think the open arrays only work with the LXC 112' & 113's and not the inexpensive LCX 27's & 38's, but others may be able to discuss that.

is the price for both the motor/drive and the antannae? likely for just the antannae.
the motor/drive is the more expensive part by far.

Sounds like just the array asits not real clear. I would call first to make sure. I actually sell the lra-5000 for almost the same price and iyd the array and pedestal.

the $999.00 price is for the complete array---that is antenna and base. That is a heck of a deal on a open array unit that retailed for around $2200 +/- earlier this year. Looks like they only have a few left at this price.

no matter how cheap, you still have to deal with Lowrance customer service if things go wrong...do a search here...

both my neighbors - not my cousin's 2nd best frend - have iussues with Lowrance antennas and displays and cannot get Lowrance to help - and both units are less than 2 years old....one dumped the unit for garmin, the other went RM...west swapped out the 1st guy for garmin, the 2nd was SOL due to a cheap web buy...

That price is cheaper then Lowrance sells to its employees. If an open would not look foolish on my 21 foot center console I would be at Comsumers in an hour picking one up.

Glen E "both my neighbors -" I hear you . I caught wind of this thread a few minutes after it was posted yesterday. I called them up yesterday and investigated it a little further...

.!!!GREAT DEAL !!!

For the array and base. Even if you don't have lowrance compatible head unit it is still worth buying one. You can get the 7" monitor for about 800 so the cost for the setup is about 1700.

Nobody is even close to that price. Probably about half of a open array setup.

Yesterday when I called they only had a few left. They said they were moving fairly well and to concider hurrying if I wanted one.

I tried contacting lowrance and couldn't even find a phone number. I called sitex to see if it was compatable with there equiptment and found out their technician was out for the rest of the day. The person thought it might be unlikely even though Koden made alot of these units for a few brand names. I also contacted Furuno and they said No. Nothing but Furuno will work with whatever products were enginered to be compatable with its own Furuno products.

So I didn't get one even though I am in the market for radar and it is the cheapest price I could find for a much more powerful system. The discontinued turned me off.
Still, for someone who knows or has Lowrance and wants it. Grab it if they aren't already gone!

It is a great system for someone who has a lowrance unit on their boat already and was thinking about radar but did not want to spend alot of money. I have seen one operate on the water and it worked very well.

Looks like a closeout is going on as they popped up somewhere else with 5' antennas and a display. http://www.boatersland.com/low8200rad.html and http://www.boatersland.com/low9200rad.html for 1400 and 1970 depending on 8 or 10 inch display. Looks like I maybe putting radar on my Pursuit this winter. Anyone familiar with this company?

Geeeez Adgga... now that is a bargan! Anyone know how those units stand up to mosture? I has problems with standard horizon cp1000. Nice unit if you didn't get it wet. Just wondering how mosture proof these things are? I'mn touching them all day long with wet fingers. Lots of times with fish guts or slim. You then have to clean them. Will it stand up for more than 3 months?

Anyone use one of these and what are those maps/charts the plotters use? Anything like Cmap or Navionics?

Hey - if anyone gets that 8200 combo, and wants to sell the 8200 for $400 - just let me know - would be a nice addition to go with the LRA-4k I just ordered from CM (w/ free shipping).

Yeh, my 23' CC (25' w/ bracket) is going to look like a Lunar Rover with the 48" open array on it (someone posted it was actually 43"??), but it fits, and I am pumped to pick out the birds...

It's a great deal no matter how you slice it. I've dealt w/ Lowrance CS, and they have always been pretty helpful - sometimes some long holds, but that's what speaker phones are for.

I've had the LCX-110 for two season now w/ no issues, and two other buddies using Lowrance with no problems.

I am thinking about buying one... but a 5' array. That is huge. Do you think it would look too BIG for my hardtop?

26' Grady Express cabin.

I was really thinking about it a few weeks ago also when I saw CM selling either the 4 or 5 foot for 999 (web site didn't have 5 foot listed on sale but it was if you called them).

My issue - I want Garmin - but this deal might be too good to be true.

Any thoughts on a compare between a Garmin 4210 and the 9200?

I was really thinking of the 113HD...

Is the 9200C and 9300C HD much different? Is the only difference between the 9K series and the LCX series a sounder?
I actually prefer to have the sounder as a seperate display and could actually just keep my existing Raymarine 760 and leave it on sounder mode, replace my existing crappy radar with the new setup.

Is they only different between the 9K series and the LCX the sounder cababilities?

tcm the deal is real. I bought one. Seams easy enough to figure out . I think I'd rather have the dome but like you said, for the money you kinda have to get this setup.
