Default radar

Im looking into adding radar to my 22' centerconsole. I have a garmin 498c, I like the unit but hate the small screen, I would like to upgrade to a larger unit, what is a good unit and should I go with a seperate fishfinder depthfinder.

Check out the Garmin 4000 series and you can get an all in one system

I'd look at the Garmin 3010. Unless you absolutely have to have the latest and greatest features, the 3010 is one heck of a deal nowdays. They're selling in the $800 range. And packages at $1350 for factory refurb units. Easier to mount on a smaller boat too, as it requires less mounting depth. You can still add all the same stuff (radar, weather overlay, etc.) to the 3010 as well. I'm still debating myself on the 4000 or 3000 series.

Big advantage of 4000 series over 3000 series is NMEA 2000 - 4000 has it; plus the 3000 series needs a hub if you have two screens. The 4000 series is alo much faster.
