Connecting LMF-200 with flow sensor, Yamaha cable and LGC-3000

Hi folks,
I have simple question, need to connect these together
LMF-200 with flow sensor, Yamaha cable and LGC-3000
Can I just cut off connectors and splice and solder the cables together ?
Any tricks/tips to do so ?

Thanks

Re: Connecting LMF-200 with flow sensor, Yamaha cable and LGC-3000

According to Panbo (Ben Elison) it works to cut the command link cable and solder to the Lowrance MNEA 2000 bus. The other option is to use the Maretron part number 256770 which is the adaptor from Yamaha Command link to standard NMEA cables. You will have to check to see what fittings you have on the Lowrance cables--there are two different types.

Thanks for reply,
I have red connectors
If I cut off the connectors I will connect let's say all red to red, all green to green and so on ?

How would you terminate it? Wouldn't it be easier just to buy the tees so you could add in the future?

What do you mean terminate it ?
I'm not planning to add anything else.
If I cut off those bulky connectors I can drill only small holes and make the installation nicer looking :)
I find all the connections ridiculously looking - Looks like fiber optic pipeline for the whole city.

Thanks

In an nmea network there are terminators at the ends of the network. i'm not sure exactly what they do but they are necessary. Look up the lowrance site for info.

Oh OK, that's just a 120ohm resistor
