Default Lowrance LMS 522C as an indoor weather station

After each boating trip, I remove my Lowrance from the boat. I purchased an additonal power cable and use the unit indoors to view my trips and to practice the tons of features found on the unit.

My question is this - is it possible to purchase a weather receiving unit, mount it on the roof of my home and use the Lowrance LMS 522c as a weather station? If yes, what external receiver would you recommend? I have read about the
Airmar PB200 WeatherStation however I'm not sure this plugs into my Lowrance unit.

Thanks for the information and advice TCM. After looking at the price of the Wind Stations and the wiring, I think I'll take your advice and watch the weather channel. I do like the Maretron unit for my boat though.
