Default Garmin 4212 and G2 vision cards

I have a 4212 and a G2 vison card I do most of my boating in Barnaget bay Nj the preloaded maps and the G2 vision have no detailed nav aids for the secondary channels or even the inlets including Barnaget inlet and little Egg I emailed Garmin and this is the answer I received

"It does look like the G2 Maps on the 4000 series looks like what I have
on a 3010C I have on my desk. As you have reported I am not seeing the
NAV THE NAV AIDS FOR THAT SPECIFIC AREA. I would hope they would be on future
versions. "

How can such an important detail be missing from the maps I'm lucky that I've been boating their for awhile and know the area but if someone without knowlege of the area goes to navigate it could be fun the map shows the depths of the water which helps but its much easier with the proper markings

You't think they make immidiate corrections and offer free upgrades !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
doesn't seem to be the case

I'm not trying to bash Garmin I love their products this is my 5th Garmin but I'm a little dissapointed

Seems "odd", EXCEPT, if yo uare talking about in the inlet itself. Most charts do NOT show navigation aids in and around the actual inlets due to the fact they move around so often. So by the time you got the chip, it would be wrong and outdated because the bouy's have moved. Those area's are ussually marked off on the chartplotter via demarkation lines with a note taht says something like :"Nav aids are conbstantly moving in this area, please see local CG updates for actual navaid locations....." (or something similar to that).

But if you are referring to normal intercoastal type channles, then it should be shown. On LI, I'm VERY happy with the detail my Garmin is showing. 5 years ago, the Garmin units had TERRIBLE detail compared to Cmap charts, but today I think Garmin is showing more detail then cmap.
