Default How to Wire a double Receptacle ?

I bought a double receptacle @ West Marine for the purposes of keeping my phone charged. I am not sure where to pick up the power source from. I have 14 guage marine wire & a 15 amp in line fuse. I have the receptacle installed already in the T Top so it will stay dry. I have a 6 switch panel that appears to have an empty switch on it would this be the place to put it? I was told to add it on the hot side of ignition switch. I don't want to make this too complicated. I am making a bigger deal than I probably should but I just want to get it right. I have two switch operated batteries and thought hooking up directly would be a bad idea as I didn't want to drain it by accident. What do you think.

There is no need to power that "Power Port" thru a switch. There is no switch in your auto/truck to turn it Off or ON.

Pick up power from your fuse panel to the center post- HOT and a wire to the side terminal to Ground.

If it's in the E-box and you have run Power & GND wires up there to a Buss bar, then tap off of that thru a fuse to the Power Port.

That's the way I would do it.
