Default VHF noise and plug question

I have a 1997 merc 115hp that I took out today for the first time since I changed my plugs. I called a few marine repair yards and they told me the correct plug to use for my engine is an NGK BP8H-N-10.

So I picked up 4 of these and installed them. Engine runs much better but now I'm getting noise through my radio from the motor. I was reading about this and someone recommended to get resistor type plugs.

Are the plugs I bought these resistor type? If not, which ones do I need to buy?

Any advice on getting rid of the noise on my VHF?

Default Re: VHF noise and plug question

Only way will be to get resistor plugs or wires. Without them you have created one of the first modes of radio communication - Spark Gap.
