VHF ANTENNA MOUNTING HELP

I'm mounting two vhf's on my t-top. Due to my crows nest on top, i can only really mount in front of each other in the middle of the t-top. Never seen it done this way on other t-tops. All i've seen is side by side.
Any drawbacks to mounting them this way? Thanks for the help.

If they're similar size (or better yet, identical units), can you mount them one on top of the other, possibly even using the same (modified) mounting bracket? I think that would look better and give you better access to all the buttons and dials.

Mounting the antenna's in that manner would be fine so long as you provide enough separation so that they don't flex and smash into one another.

Minimum separation of the antennas is 3 feet from an RF point of view - the further the better. That figure from both Digital Antenna and Shakespeare
