Default speakers

Can anyone recommend a decent set of waterproof speakers they will be flush mounted in existing holes in gunnels max depth 2 3/4 inches have 6 1/2 inch clarions now burntout ;? ;?

do a search - talked about a lot - Infinity, Pioneer, JL, aquatic are favorites here

As seen below, I replaced the OEM access plates with Infinity Kappa 6.5s.
Kappas are a good value in Marine speakers: <$100 a pair, sound good, hold up well in the env.

I did similar to Joe, but needed to create mounting plates as the holes were larger then the Infinity 6.5's.
Liked them so much, I cut holes in my stern gunwales and mounted 2 more

avoid polyplanars - they dont hold up that well and they sound even worse.
