Default Simrad can'f find initial position??

I have a Ce Simrad color plotter. Just reinstalled into the boat after winter. It comes on line fine but shows that I am in Florida. WIll only pickup 4 satellites intermittently. Kodiak Alaska Cmap checks out good. Don't have the book...anyone know how to initialize to Kodiak position or what other problem this may indicate. Thanks in advance, Alaskang

I know absolutely zip about Simrads, but couldn't resist asking:

Have you looked outside to see if there are any palm trees swaying in the breeze?

If so, Welcome to Florida!

Good question, no palms, no palmetos, no snakes, no blimps....just blue spruce, King Salmon and Halibut...

I guess that rules out manatees, too.

Since I've got entirely too much time on my hands, I did a little digging and found that Simrad has manuals for the CE series available online at http://www.simradyachtingusa.com/ind...104&Itemid=165

You may be able to find what you need to get it to relocate you back to Alaska.

Good luck, and happy fishing!
