Default 2 more months for Navnet 3d's?

I was just told 2 more months for the Navnet 3d system. My boat has been on order since January. I figured this would be plenty of time. Who knows what to believe now. In nov. it was feb. In feb. it was April. In April it was mid may. And now it is July or August. And I will believe that when I see it. This really sucks.

I have my dream boat being finished as we speak (34 Yellowfin w/ F350's) and now I have to SETTLE for something less. I am very frustrated with Furuno now. What can I do?

In the same boat man. My 32' Yellowfin will be ready in two weeks and I was going to go with the 3D. I cant wait all summer or (even longer according to some.) So after doing some research I am going with the Raymarine E and I don't think I will be disappointed at all. Going to Yellowfin tomorrow to finalize everything. Ray E has most of the same features as the 3D and it's been tested and ready to go. The 3D is great and probably a little faster, but the stuff they had at the boat shows was apparently "juiced up".

Honestly, the 3D is worth the wait. Get a temporary plotter to get you by in the meantime (I bought a Standard Horizon CP500 last fall to get me through until my NN3D arrived). You'll probably change whatever you have for a 3D when you can get one.

I had an E120. The 3D is MUCH, MUCH (MUCH...) faster. The 3D is WAY better. The unit is simply better, by far, in every single respect.

If you're looking at something to replace the NN3, I'd look at the Garmin. The 4000/5000 units are really good. I find them slow compared to the NN3, but still at least as fast as the E120. I also find the charts to be really good (possibly better in the very limited testing I've done with the G2 charts).

The only feature thats missing from the Garmins (as far as I can tell), is the ability to restart navigation while following a route (after your deviated from the course for whatever reason.)

The ray HD radar is good from the images I've seen, but really expensive. The Garmin radar might be close to as good at a much better price.
