Default lowrance 525c problem

Has anyone had a issue with the antenna for this unit. was running in rough water last week and the gps mess said position was lost right after I came down on a wave hard. Never could get it to lock on again. checked all wires all good. I turn off the power to the antenna and ill get the device cannot be found message turn on the power just get a flashing ? mark on the old position when it lost contact a week ago. Called a tech and thinks the Antenna is not working. this thing has been used 6 times, what could break on that antenna?

I have had similar problem with the Lowrance 3000 antenna. The first was returned to the factory when the unit was 1 month old, and now again after 11 months. I talked to Lowrance multiple times, and finally got a RA # (RETURN AUTHORIZATION #). I returned the antenna and I am now waiting for the second new one. I feel that the circuitry is faulty in the antenna. I tortured myself with trouble shooting the problem but times.

Keep the updates coming...thinking of getting one of these units. Have there been any changes to the 3000 antenna lately?

Had lots of problems with my LCX26HD. First antennae did'nt work right out the box. Second one crapped out in less than a year. Then 1 year and 1 month after purchase, screen goes beserk. They tried to diss me, but asked for a supervisor and she hooked me up with a new unit. I was 74 miles off Virginia Beach a little east of the cigar and damn thing loses its signal. A really bad feeling. Luckily I carry my handheld I use for Hunting. Also bought a 1kw bronze thru hull hoping to get better depth readings offshore, deeply dissapointed. Loses bottom contact at about 800'. Can't afford to buy a whole new system right now, but when I can this ones going for a long ride.

Mine thought it was going 19mph when the boat the tied bow and stern to the
dock. This is an internal antenna. Lowrance service was sure that I had done something wrong and wanted me to purchase a external antenna for $200+.

Dealer said that Lowrance had a bad batch of antennas and sent me a new unit.
