Default What angle to direct Garmin Radar

I have a Key West 23 CC and I am installing a GMR 18 HD. Are there any recomendations on what angle to direct the radar and are there any standard mounts for the installation.

Thanks in advance

The radar should be level with the horizon at the boat speed you are going to use it most. Since you should slow down in fog, you may have to find a compromise angle between that and your cruise attitude. There is about a 25 degree up and down arc for the radar, but the sweet spot in in the middle. You can buy or build wedges to adjust the angle, and fine tune it with washers under the unit.
