Default hummingbird side sonar, comments?

this appears to be a pretty amazing unit, almost like a real time camera underwater.
anybody else have one or played with one in a retail store.??

I know there must be one heck of a markup on it...

The guy that demo'd it for me was just going on and on about how great it was and how he would never go back to using a regular fish finder again and then back to how great it was. I asked if he had ever used one in a boat and he said no but he couldn't wait to try it out. Then he instantly went back to how he would never use anything else blah blah blah...

One guy in Bass pro said it was pretty but not entirely useful. As you get deeper than about 60 feet you don't get that big of a bottom pic, and then around 150 it becomes completely useless...

It does look really nice though. I just couldn't swing the extra $300 for it when I bought.

I have it, use it for finding divesites, would never go back to conventional sonar. There are 3 websites dedicated to the SI,,,,,,,
