Default Power question about replacing livewell pump

My livewell pump died. Bummer.

The dead one is a Rule 700 GPH. The specs I found online give the following power info:
Amp Draw 2.8 amp
Fuse Size 5.0 amp

I was thinking about going up to an 1100 GPH pump (it appears to be minimal difference in cost). However, the specs I found online give the following power info:
Amp Draw 3.3 amp
Fuse Size 6.0 amp

Does the increase in amps make any difference from an electrical standpoint, or can I just plug it up to the existing power supply?

Any other warnings you guys can give me?

I'd like to do it myself, and it appears to be fairly simple to change out.

Thanks for any helpful info.

If its a Rule cartridge, the physical size of the cartridge is the same, the impeller is different - but both will fit the same body. If the wiring still looks good, I'd up the fuse and go on. You'll probably see 16 wire at the pump connected to 16 or 14 on the boat.
