I personall don't like the earth view. I would rather have a chart display than Google Earth. Also don't like the sea temp views.

Was it worth the money? Not to me.
Satellite imagery slows everything down & is slow to redraw; It sometimes (well, mostly) doesn't completely redraw my screen if I'm zoomed in any closer than 1200 ft & moving. I leave it off because it's more annoying than anything.

Auto guidance might be kinda cool; I'll try it again next weekend since Tom explained how to use it.

I posted a thread on this last week. I personally dont think its worth the addl $$ ( G2 Vision Large ). All I really wanted was the Bathy Offshore charts and fish eye 3d view- I had no choice but to get this. Garmin should offer a fishing package separate w/ the Bathy. The satelite views are cool but thats about it. No real need for them unless frequently in unknown areas, but satelite is the new gotta have item. The slow down in redraw etc is very noticeable. Having had Furuno, Simrad and Northstar previously, I am enjoying the simplicity of a Garmin Network. $440 was a bit much for the G2 large IMO.

The charts provided me with more fishing spots....underwater capped wells, wrecks, etc. I don't use some of the extra stuff....the Mariner 3D, satellite views, etc., but the fishing spots were worth the extra money.

Where's the thread that explains it....I can't find it and just got my 4210 out of the box.
