The Garmin 6234 will replace your windshield with a complete three dimensional virtual reality than displays all fish by species and appetite, and all guests much the same. Depending on your choice of accessories, you can tour the world, shoot alien invaders and bid on Ebay, all without leaving the boathouse, for a price still below MSRP on a new Cadillac.

don't forget the integrated voice-command functionality!

all kidding aside, if Garmin or any other manufacturer is coming out with something for this season, it has been announced months ago and is either shipping, or about to ship (like navnet 3d) now. Nothing important in the industry will now be announced until the fall boat shows, and normally there isn't going to be anything of much interest to anyone on this forum until Fort Lauderdale in late October.

You forget the G2 Deep Vision Glasses...put them on and you can see your sonar picture overlaid on the lenses, voice command activated they can switch to NACL mode turning the murkiest of water into crystal clear water allowing you to actually see the fish as he swims at any depth, they also have an integrated radar mode that can again voice activated allow you to see bird activity up to and over the horizon. When the sun goes down, no problem they double as night vision or take them off and see a 3D Holographic wrap around chart and radar superimposed view of your position...and don't forget the strike alarm feature the incorporates wireless technology into your spread...each of your lures when coupled with the strike alarm system tells you when a fish is within striking distance of your spread and an optional Lure Cam feature allows you to see the actual strike via your MFD screen.

No, No! You're confusing the actual product announcement from Garmin with the "2nd quarter, next year" vapourware announcements from Raymafuruno devilishly worded to keep us squirming just shy of the hook until they can come up with something to compete. The three-D virtual reality goggles modelled after Halo 4 "Return of the Super Chief" are actually a video trailer for the next edition of the Xbox game that uses the full-body suit for ALL-Around sensory awareness, currently on hold at the FDA following reports of barely conscious test subjects with vague grins and tendrils of smoke coming out of the waist band....
