Since the 113 uses a Nema 2000 interface, do you have power to the N2k trunk? Remember, that is powered seperately from the 113 power input.

I'd recheck the power connections at the battery or buss bars, the antenna switch terminals, and at the fuses. Sitting for several months can allow for just enough corrision at those connections to cause a high resistance connection.

I'm with Butch here. I'd recheck the connections and use a volt meter to verify proper power. Check all ground connections also. If you have an external antenna then I'd also check the connections there also. I'm not sure if you have a digital display which allows you to monitor the voltage being recieved by your head unit as I am not familiar with your unit. If all power is adequate the you may have an antenna issue. I am also assuming that the unit was functioning properly last fall. I had a similar issue that I resolved last night. My dealer mounted the puck external antenna too close to the head unit and flush mounted it into the dash. It took forever to gain adequate satellite signals. Often times I'd get "position lost" and then seconds later "position found". Very frustrating to say the least to hear the constant beeping and seeing that infamous question mark. Finally, I decided to relocate the antenna and mounted it on my console grag rail with a 1 foot extension. I turned the unit on last night and had more reception than I thought possible. Therefore, if your antenna is too close to your other electronics or does not have a clear view of the sky then I would consider relocating the antenna. Of course this is a moot point if your reception was fine in the fall. Again, I'm with Butch, check all connections and also make sure adequate voltage is being supplied. GPS units are very fickle when proper voltage is not supplied.

I had a similar situation once. My WAAS was enabled and I suppose it was not receiving signals. When I disabled WAAS, the GPS locked in. For what it is worth.

I have and LCX 111 that was doing the same thing. I talked with tech support yesterday, and they covered the antenna under warranty although it was 7 or 8 months out of warranty. Before calling them I went through the motions of doing the self help outlined in one of their bulletins. It was a waste of time, but now I know how to troubleshoot a "gps module not responding" message if it ever happens. I would give Lowrance a call. They stand behind their crappy gps antennas. I have owned 2 lowrance units over the past 5 years, and both had antennas that went bad for no good reason. They made good on both while out of warranty coverage.
