Default garmin gsd22 sonar vs verado smartcraft

Is there any information out there regarding conflicts between the two systems.
I have them on my whaler with twin 225's and they never read the same(or even close for that matter) I have changed garmin transducer and changed angles and still have problems. I noticed this weekend while the boat was on the trailer, the smartcraft would read 3 feet deep until I turned the garmin on and it jumped to 23 ft deep. While I am on the water, I have had a problem with the garmin locking up or losing sonar.
Does anyone know of issues between these two units and how to resolve them?

Default Re: garmin gsd22 sonar vs verado smartcraft

Just finished having the electronics installed in the new boat. Have a GSD22 with an Airmar 1kw tilted element transducer. Also running Mercury VesselView which is the latest addition to the SmartCraft line. I have only run the boat for a couple hours so far but had no problem with the Garmin system. Never looked at the VesselView depth reading so can not comment there. I will check it out this weekend when I am back out on the boat.

I will add that I have about 6 feet of distance from the two transducers which may impact whether there is any interference between them. ran two transducers on my previous 27 foot boat and never had any significant interference or discrepancy. That was a Suzuki/Furuno combination so not directly comparable.

Will let you know after the weekend.
