Default Garmin 192C; NMEA wiring?

I need a little help with some NMEA wiring. I am using a Garmin 192C GPS. I currently have the NMEA hooked up only to my ICOM M302 VHF. I now want to hook it up to my Yamaha Command link gauge (for accurate speed).

The M302 is connected to the 192C “Pin 3“ (Blue – NMEA out – Com 1 TX).

Do I connect the Yamaha Command link gauge to the same wire, or should I connect it to “Pin 6” (Green – NMEA out – Com 2 TX)?

Here’s a pic of the wiring diagram for the 192C. Thanks guys.

since you have an open port, i would connect it to Com 2 Tx (green)
you also need to connect the negative nmea connection for the guage to the black ground wire.

you could double up on port one if you needed to though.

you may also have to turn the port on in the Nmea setup screen.

What would happen if I connected them both on COM1? No difference?

most likely no difference. you can usually connect up to 3 listeners to 1 talker without a problem. if you connect more than that, you can overload the port and cause data errors.
