Default Xantrex Truecharge Remote Panel

Anyone here install the remote panel for a Xantrex Truecharge charger? Would like to install one, but don't really want to cut out a large hole, wondering if if just required a small hole to run the wire through plus the mounting holes or if it required a larger cutout.

Thanks.

I ordered a Truecharge 40 and remote panel from Defender last week and it's due to arrive Wed. I'll let you know when I get a look at it.

The pannel is flush, so that the box has to protude into the "hole" As I recollect I cut out about 3 x 2.5 "--it does not go thru the 3/4" plywood pannel it is located in. Defiately worth having the remote pannel.

If mounting depth is that shallow, then I will probably cut out a piece of starboard or something and use that as a backing ring, easier to cut that off the boat then cutting another hole in a bulkhead...thanks. Will probably order my remote panel from Defender, as well. Would definitely like to know the dimensions of the panel, dimensions of the required cutout, and the minimum depth required to see if I have a piece of something around here or if I need to get a piece of something. Thanks in advance.
