Why bad? My unit has been fine. I only had it a year, but so far so good. My buddy has an Aquatic, his sounds great, but I think it is his JL Audio Speakers and Amp. I use to have a Clarion on my boat, just changed the head unit, not the speakers, and I cannot see any difference in sound quality. I made the change, because the Jensen unit with the remote was a lot cheaper then the Clarion remote. Plus I put the Clarion on my nephews boat. Will see how it performs this year, but I was thinking of adding a Clarion Amp. I bet if I added the amp and the JL Audio Speakers (which I won't do, too expensive) it would sound just as good as my buddies. His by the way sounds absolutey awesome. If you have the money to do a system like Glen E, then do it, don't question it, you won't be sorry. But, if your budget is tight, the new Jensen's seem like a good choice. I will say this, if my Jensen fails me, for the money I spent, it was no great loss. But if it lasts, then it is a great buy.

Yes, Glen you do, and I appreciate it. I will let you know if my unit holds up. We still have a while yet up here before the boats go in. By the way, I have always liked Clarion. But the remote was so much more, that is why I decided to go with Jensen. I have had Jensen's on other boats, and they were not good. But this unit appears to be better built. Again, we will have to see what time does.
