Default Garmin 3010, GSD20, Triducer, temp reading way off

I have a 3010, GSD 20, with the standard tri transducer, only problem is the temperature is off by 20 degrees, no help from Garmin, anyone have a suggestion?

Call GEM. They have a replacement stem that you can put in your existing transducer. This replacement will contain a new temp sensor. You will need to splice the new stem wires into the existing wires. It will cost about $100, or replace the transducer for around $250. I have the exact same set up as you and have the same issue.
