Default Replacement of electronics question..

I bought ManasotaMako's Mako 282 this past week and am planning to remove the old electronics (lowrance globalmap 3000, x-16ci, sitex T-185 radar, and 2 sitex vhf's) and replace them with all Raymarine (raynav 300, L760, rl70crc, 72mi. open array, 2 ray 53 dsc's). My question is this....this boat was a custom build for Poveromo including a transducer glassed into the hull (cat eye shape). Obviously I would like to use this unit for my new machine. Is it possible to wire my L760 to that transducer??

You probably can't. Why do you want to go with a full lineup by Ray? I think its a mistake, particularly the radios.

d-hlaw, I hope, for your sake, you don't go with Raymarine. After all my problems with Raymarine, I will never go back.

it may be an airmar transducer common to many makes. I just purchased 3 transducers for a standard depth sounder and all 3 were airmar.

Go to the Airmar website and click on the "OEM" menu. It will get you a cross reference table that will show the Airmar part number for the Lowrance transducer -- you can then look for the Raytheon unit and see if that transducer is on the list. I agree withThom, however. Unless you are getting some special deal, the only item on which Raytheon stands high would be their radar.
