Default Which Transducer for a Furuno 600L

Which transducer do I need for the Furuno 600L?? Preferably Thru-hull.

525ST-PWD TM Xducer - Bethel's Price $76.95

525ST-MSD BTH Xducer - Bethel's Price $181.95

High Speed Fairing Block for 525ST-MSD is
AIR-033-353 - Bethel's Price $70.95

What are the differences??

I bought my transducer and highspeed flaring block from Bethel ( I live close by).
Here's what I got:
31-272-2-01 525ST-BSD ducer
600 Watts
50/200 kHz
45/15 degree Beam Angles
Bronze Thru-Hull with Temperature
30 Foot Cable with 10-Pin Conn

33-352-01 highspeed flaring block

Can't find the sales receipt but going from memory the block was in the low 70's and the ducer was in the low 90's. Best money I ever spent, can read a perfect picture at 30mph in choppy seas.

The one you want, the standard bronze thru hull for the 600L, would be the 525ST-MSD. Its depth, speed and temperature capable. You can get the high speed fairing block or the standard one, i'd just get the standard one if I were you, its around $35 most places. Also, if you run across a 520ST-MSD on E-Bay or somewhere, its really the same transducer and will work equally well.

The 525ST-MSD has speed and requires a big a$$ hole thru the bottom of the boat. MY 525T BSD only required a 7/8" hole for the stem. That's alot easier to swallow than a 1.5" or larger hole. If you really need speed then go with the MSD.
