Default Northstar F210

Any experience with Northstar's fuel flow meter?

It looks similar to the Navman, which I can't find anywhere ;?

I have the Navman f2100 installed on a 20' boat with a 150 merc. It is the exact same unit as the Northstar.............It works well giving accurate readings of Gallons used per hour, total fuel used and total fuel remaining. You need a GPS showing your speed and do the math in your head to figure your Miles per gallon..............Something else to consider.............After 6 months the sending unit part of this system crapped out so I contacted Northstar and had a new one at my front door the next morning free of charge so I give an A+ for customer service

The replacement sender was my concern, at $75!

Thanks for the feedback, I've been wanting to add one for a while, so I'll give it a shot and report back.

I installed one of these units in my boat about the same time you did. After two trips it stopped working. I went through the trouble shooting techniques and it is up an running again.

My boat came out of the water today, so I hope the unit will work again in the spring. Only time will tell.

It is a great value and it provides all of the information that I need. I am not in the habit of splitting hairs, between the tide, current and moon 1.0 gallons an hour this side or that is not going to kill me.

Stay safe.

I used the same flow meter when it had the Navman name on it and put through thosands of gallons of fuel. Once calibrated it is only +/- 1.0gal on a 80gal burn. Excellent unit.

I installed mine around July 4th. After at least 15 trips, its still working fine. It gives me much more confidence than the old bouncing gas gauge did.

I have installed four of the Northstars F210 units,no problems.I add a inline fuel filter ahead of the sender units,so as to stop large particles passing thur the sender and wedging the impeller in place within it.It's a nice unit for the money and accurate.
