Default Need EP-50

I know I have asked this recently. I need a Lowrance Net EP-50. I tried that ishop marine site but there is not very much info on them there other than some part number and a price. I need to see what I am buying. Can anyone attest that the ishop part is the same as the EP-50?

Or better yet does anyone know where I can get an actual EP-50? My Evinrude dealer said they can "probably" order it.

Chris, I've ordered the EP-50 from ishopmarine (BMC-0763704) as per the forum discussion a few days ago and it's in transit as of this morning. When I get it, I'll take some pictures to verify the BRP part number.

So what's that EP-50 storing anyway?

Trip fuel, seasonal fuel, etc.
It's a nice feature. I know on every trip exactly how much fuel I burned.
Seems to be very accurate.

From the way I understand it, it's a flash memory card. The gauges are all just realtime displays with no history available because they have no memory. The EP-50 provides a way to store data that is needed in certain time dependent calculations. The only question I can't answer form experience is do you need an EP-50 setup with a NMEA2000 chartplotter, ie do the chart plotters have memory for this NMEA2000 data? I still have a NMEA0183 LCX-104c.
