Default airmar r99

Has anyone logged any time with one of these? I looked through some old post but there was not much user info. I'm thinking of installing one on a 32 albemarle exp. I'm a little concerned about the size. Do you think I'd lose any speed? I only get 24knots anyway.

I recently mounted a 9.9 evinrude on one an drove it up an down the creek- Makes a great tender. Not sure how it works as an Xducer, though.

Seriously, I don't think you'll get much responce, as it is a brandnew unit, and I haven't actually seen one in the feild yet. It looks good on paper, but unless you are doing a lot of Deep (1000ft+) bottom fishing, it's way more than you need.

I hear what you are saying about the size and speed worries. I just put one in the boat we are building and cut it into the bottom of the keel so there is no additional drag. It should work well out in the canyons.
